Developed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Construction Career Days initiative has proven highly successful in promoting the transportation industry and the careers it offers to America’s youth.

Construction Career Day events are workforce development tools which introduce high school students to the transportation construction industry and support the pipeline in providing the professionals of tomorrow. 361,565 students have participated in these events since 1999.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) named the University of Rhode Island Transportation Center (URITC) the National Construction Career Days Center.

The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the mutual assistance of its members in striving for the better regulation of the construction industry in order to protect the health, welfare and safety of the general public.
