dirty jobs hickman farms mike rowe dave barskyIf you saw the Dirty Jobs episode (#95 for those who keep track) which originally aired November 18, 2008, you would have seen Mike and the DJ team learning about what really goes on at an egg farm. (Or is it chicken farm?) Well, turns out there’s really quite a bit going on over at Hickmans Family Farm. They’ve been in the egg business since 1944 starting out with a flock of 500 pecking around Grandma Hickmans’ backyard. Today they’re one of the country’s leading producers of eggs.

We don’t know whether or not all egg farms are the same but we can tell you that Hickmans Family Farms website is different. Not only does it have all sorts of interesting info and tells you all about well, eggs, but there’s a kids section, ecards, nutritional info and even recipes – fix up an egg in a new way!

You can also get the latest information on their “Breakfast for Dinner” charity benefits. And if you haven’t had breakfast for dinner lately you don’t know what you’re missing!

Do yourself a favor and visit their site – it’s really different and quite fun. Eggs – Fun… Who knew? (BTW – everyone here has become addicted to that egg drop game.)

Oh, and tell Clint we said hi!
