I hear that Newt is going to announce getting out of the race next week. Why wait? Mitt's being the Rep. candidate has been a forgone conclusion now for several weeks. I have no idea why Newt has hvng on for so long.

Yeah, he was to cut taxes even more for those in the much higher incomes. Raise taxes on the lower incomes. Cut the Pell Grants for college in half (170 billion dollars) and raise the interest rates on the college loans. But he is all for the education........sure! And I cannot forget he is for that Personhood madness that could not only outlaw abortion but also hormonal forms of contraception.

it's a marathon, not a sprint
I don't know why he's waiting either. I guess it was pretty obvious from the beginning who was going to win the nomination - whether by vote or default. Romney needs a strong VP. Dennis Miller was on Bill O' Reilly talking about it and appealed to Rubio to do the right thing because we need him. I totally agree. I love DM. I want to go see him and O'Reilly together in person.
Not only for a career politician! It's the road for instant fame and celebrity and boatloads of money, for some people that is, if your name is Sarah Palin...

I think Ron Paul is still in too.
Clem, I love Dennis Miller too. I am always rolling with laughter during his segments with bill.
Because being on a losing ticket can hurt your own chances of winning the nomination in a future election. These guys think they will have a better chance of winning four years from now when there is no incumbent to run against. They don't really think Romney is going to win this election.
You really think having a BUSH on the ticket would help?? Wonders never cease...

First, it is narrated, in part by Bill Clinton. If there is anyone to blame for the rise of al Qaeda it is Bill Clinton. It was on Bill Clinton’s watch that all the events happened that resulted, ultimately, in the tragedy of September 11.Second, it calls into question whether Romney would have ordered the attack that killed bin Laden based on a 2007 Romney quote:http://www.redstate.com/streiff/2012...wn-gutsy-call/Third, this may be the first campaign video in history, and perhaps the first time in the history of political campaigns in general, that a candidate has touted merely doing his job as a reason he deserves reelection. Not that he did it well or efficiently or better but just that he showed up for work and did what we paid him to do.
