It seems I may have misspoken in the Happy 100th Birthday video, and incorrectly referred to myself as a "former Eagle Scout." It's been a long time, but now that you mention it, I do recall the "Eagle for Life" thing. Goes to show how far afield I've wandered since my own Court of Honor. (They still have those, right?)
To be honest, (a quality to which I still aspire,) I was briefly tempted to argue that the word "former" in my turn of phrase - "former Eagle Scout" - was really an attempt to modify the word "Scout," and not "Eagle." For indeed, I am a "former Scout." Had I said "former Eagle," I would have been clearly mistaken. Whereas "former Eagle Scout" allows for some grammatical wiggle room. However, along with something about Trustworthy, a Scout is most assuredly not Pedantic. So I will avoid the head of this particular pin, and endeavor to do better next time.
Thanks,
Mike
PS. Notice in the video I stumbled on the word, "former."
Maybe my subconscious knew better all along.
It usually does...

My son is a Wolf, so we didn't make the trip out there but I am jealous of everyone who did go! We are working on a float for the Mother Goose parade down here in San Diego for November and have been researching Eagle Scouts for the 100 year anniversary. What an amazing honor to achieve! I'm sure all is forgiven for the technicality.
