The Domestic Diva offers here review of the new Dirty Jobs™ cleaning products.

I’ve mentioned before that I live in a household of all boys, from scratched DVDs to Superheroes in the course of any given day lots of messes are bound to occur. From baseball stained clothes to everyday messes big or small, this Mom is definitely kept busy.

I was sent a box of samples of some new cleaning products that recently hit Walmart store shelves called Dirty Jobs. Yep, you read that right. As in Mike Rowe. As in Dirty Jobs the TV show. Same guy, same show, just now in cleaning product form. I admit, I love the show Dirty Jobs and squealed with a bit of excitement over the autographed photo in the samples box of Mike Rowe. You could probably guess that I had some high hopes for these cleaning products after that.

But today I’m only going to talk about my favorite product out of the Dirty Jobs cleaning product line and that is the Heavy Duty All-Purpose Degreaser. As soon as I read “Degreaser” on the label I knew exactly where I was going to test it out. In the kitchen, behind my stove, is a backsplash that has been the hardest area to get and keep clean. I’ve tried just about everything on that surface to try and get the caked on grease off of it. Nothing seemed to work. So that is the area that I went to work on. Below are the before and after results of how the Dirty Jobs Heavy Duty All-Purpose Degreaser gave me back my beautiful backsplash…

    2. Dear Domestic Diva, I haven’t yet used the Dirty Works degreaser as it goes fast off our “local” (local = 36 miles) WalMart. But I do LOVE the DW Cleaning Powder. (This product also flies off the shelves at WalMart).
I have always been a fan of OXYCLEAN cleaning powder. I used it in every load of laundry; in my dishwater whenever there was extremely greasy dishes after a BBQ or holiday dnner, etc. I was a BIG fan of OXICLEAN products.
Then my husband brought home DWCP. I tried it on the dirtiest of his clothes. I tried it on our whites. CLEAN!!! Fewer stains left in the hubs’ clothing and the whites were beautifully white. Over time the more set in stains have become less visible. A few have even disappeared completely.
As of today, I still use OXY in the laundry, because we had stocked up on it. But I use DWCP in the laundry when there are TOUGH stains to deal with.
I recommend it to my friends just as I use to do with OXY. The only drawback to DWCP is that is we haven’t yet found the product in a “super” size. Which would be more cost effective for us.
      Thank you.
