Mike Rowe sometimes receives letters from fans who don’t think he gets as dirty as he used to on “Dirty Jobs” (Tue., 9 p.m. EST on Discovery). To immediately prove his detractors wrong, he chose to mention this after emerging from a water softening base at the Moorhead water treatment plant, covered in all sorts of disgusting matter.
The interior of the water treatment plant was so filthy, in fact, that the cameras were quickly rendered virtually useless. The facility was one of the dirtiest environments Rowe has ever immersed himself in. And it’s a place the two guys he was shadowing head every day to do their jobs, which ensure the citizenry has the best tasting water possible.
As for the most recent fan who wrote a letter telling Rowe he didn’t get as dirty as he used to? Rowe had a very simple and wordless message for him. He stuck his tongue out at him.
