From the outbox of Meyer’s video inbox:

While I was watching the new tonight and seeing stories of how mature our government is behaving, I stumbled upon a piece from the NBC Nightly News concerning a small company in Chattanooga called Habitat International that makes artificial grass. This is one of those stories where I get out of the way and let the folks do their own talking.

From the company’s homepage:

Seventy-five percent of Habitat’s workers have a physical or mental disability, or both. Over the years the company has also employed recovering alcoholics, homeless people, non-English-speaking refugees and others who, when given a chance, work hard to overcome the stereotypes about them.

Habitat’s slogan, “A Company of Positive Distractions” and its philosophy of love, kindness and compassion honor the special diversity of the people who work here.

Habitat’s “able” workers often out-produce the competition 2-1.

Check out the video here. Definitively worth a viewing.

    1. This company needs to be brought to the forefront of our news as they are doing the right thing. These workers are doing more for our country than the congress is able of doing.
