New York State Fair seeking job applicants
SYRACUSE — The New York State Fair is looking to hire a variety of workers to fill hundreds of temporary summer and Fair-time positions, and has posted job application forms on its Website. The Fair is also looking for a limited number of people to work year-round on its events crew.
All Fair job seekers must fill out an official employment application and send it to Albany for review. Approved applications will be forwarded to Fair administrators. Only approved applicants will be considered for Fair positions.
“It is very gratifying to be able to put people to work in the current economy; even if it’s for a relatively short period of time,” State Fair Director Dan O’Hara said. “We’re looking for a wide variety of workers; skilled trades-people, clerical help, parking attendants, ticket-takers and many others. The Fair is one of the largest events in North America and it takes a lot of dedicated people to make it run smoothly.”
