Brookhaven, Long Island, New York
Chartered by the State of New York in 2002, the mission of the Carmans River Maritime Center is to operate an educational facility for the building, restoration and repair of wooden boats and to sustain maritime skills and traditions, particularly those associated with Brookhaven Hamlet and Great South Bay.
The Center has received 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS and is now able to receive tax deductible donations, which are welcomed, and will be utilized to further the goals put forward in the Center’s Mission Statement.
