If, according to Aerosmith, “life’s a journey, not a destination” then Mike Rowe has been on quite a unique journey. As host of the Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe” he has visited every state in the union and worked as an apprentice in more than 220 different jobs. He’s been through miles of sewers, wrestled with snake and alligators and stuck his hand in places no one ever should.

Through it all, Mike rediscovered what is means to be called a hard working American. As he sees it, “Labor was made the enemy yet without that labor our country would fall apart” (and in some places already has.) Skilled tradesmen and women need to be celebrated and honored for their efforts. Work is NOT the enemy.  And it’s now time for a new generation to enter into those trade jobs with the same level of pride and dignity as their predecessors.”

That’s why mikeroweWORKS.com exists - not only to celebrate and promote trade work and skilled labor but also to provide resources for anyone interested in pursuing and/or learning about any of these skilled trade professions.
