AIME supports the advancement of their Member Societies – Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and represents them in larger engineering and scientific communities.
The AIME offers grants and several scholarships to young engineers and supports other awards offered by its Member Societies.
